Marcos Aurélio - Studio Caricature Artist
Marcos Aurélio, professional illustrator, started his studies in 1986 at Escola Panamericana de Arte, in São Paulo, Brazil, where he specialized in Traditional Illustration, Design and Acrylic Painting.
He started to do caricatures for fun and his first commercialized caricatures were done for André Christovam’s albums: TOUCH OF GLASS(1990) and 2120 SESSIONS(1991). He has also illustrated caricatures to promote BB King and Buddy Guy’s Shows in 1992(Sao Paulo - Brazil) and to illustrate Van Halen´s web page.
At present, despite the modern digital illustration resources and state of the art multimedia tools available, hand drawing still plays an important role in Marcos Aurélio’s designs.
