Lorin Bernsen - Caricature Artist - Dallas, TX

While working on a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Texas State University, Lorin Bernsen spotted a recruiting poster for Fasen Arts, a nationwide company specializing in retail caricature. Excited at the prospect of learning the art of caricature, Lorin began working at Six Flags Over Texas in 1994.

At Six flags Lorin befriended Chris Galvin, owner of Blue Line Caricature, who has since afforded Lorin many opportunities to draw at numerous private and corporate events around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Upon graduating from college in 1996, Mr. Bernsen chose to make caricature his full-time career, eventually drawing at other entertainment venues like the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, the Western Idaho Fair in Boise, Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, and Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, TX.

Lorin joined the National Caricaturist network, an international organization, in 1998, and was awarded 13th place (out of nearly 200 competing artists) for Caricaturist of the Year at the organization’s annual competition in 2005.

Having drawn thousands of people over the years, Lorin prides himself on getting a solid likeness, and feels privileged to do artwork for a living.
