Joe Goldman has been an artist since early childhood. His formal training included Advertising and Illustration courses at Pratt Institute, school of Fine Art as well as a number of workshops with leading watercolorists.
| Joe's development as a caricaturist began with whimsical sketches of his teacher, friends and relatives. In WWII, he did pencil renderings of friends and servicemen. A watercolor he did on Guadalcanal won third prize in the All Pacific Art Competition. At the end of his Marine Corp duty, he continued his art education at Pratt. |

Joe went on to spend thirty years in the advertising business, including being co-creator of what would become Long Island's largest advertising agency. He left advertising and New York to settle in Easley, SC., becoming a professional caricaturist. |
Joe has developed an entertaining technique of rapidly rendering black and white caricature likenesses with pen and marker. He also does studio caricature illustrations in pen & ink and watercolor.
