Dick Kulpa - Caricature Artist - Boynton Beach, FL
Dick Kulpa's cartoons first appeared in print back in 1969 when he filled the pages of both his high school newspaper and hometown weekly with edgy political cartoons whose accurate likenesses made city officials so angry they attempted to lynch him twice.
Kulpa hit the national arena when CAR-Toons Magazine published a three-page cartoon strip in 1982. The following year, The L.A. Times Syndicate used Dick to produce their Bruce Lee and Star Trek comic strips.
Kulpa's artwork graced the pages of some prominent tabloid newspapers for 15 years, and he drew a weekly panel for the Chicago Bear Report (official football publication) for 12 years. Dick also drew Ghost Story Club, a syndicated daily comic strip, for Tribune media Services in 1995-1998.
Dick Kulpa most recently won an online poll as "Best Convention Sketch Artist" conducted by a comics convention website.
