Erica Missey has been drawing since she was a small child. She was hugely influenced by cartoons, being a child of the late 70s and 80s, and always knew that she wanted to do something with cartoons when she grew up. In 1996 she graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a Bachelor's Degree in Art and Communication. She was quickly hired by an animation studio in Austin.

Here she had the opportunity to work on animated films, including Space Jam, Quest for Camelot, and The Prince of Egypt. After a few years in animation, she explored the world of children's book illustration and got the privelege of being the lead illustrator for a company that was retelling classic stories.

After working full-time in these fields, she now does freelance work from her home studio - which means she now works all hours, not just 8 to 5 Monday through Friday. She does all manner of graphic art, illustration, animation, album art, advertising, web design, fine art, and caricaturing from her home office. She’s been doing caricatures at parties since 1994, in size from 12 to 1200.

Speeds:
b&w heads only: 17-18/hour
color heads only: 6-8/hour
Rate: $150/hour with a two hour minimum.
