Dick Westbrook is a self-taught artist who has been drawing since he was young simply because he had a love for it, and he's never out grown it. He has worked as an artist in advertising, freelance illustration and graphic design. Starting with general cartoons, he quickly learned the fun of doing caricatures of friends and family, often without their knowing it. His inspirations were and continue to be Mort Drucker, Jack Davis, and Al Hirscfeld, among others. He spent eleven years as an illustrator/designer for the Houston Post newspaper. From 1996 to 2002, he worked as a caricature artist and freelance illustrator in the Houston area, his hometown.
