Working for 20 years as an artist-jewelry designer, Anita loves various forms of art. She went to Asia in 2008 to teach and there was introduced and then fell in love with the art of Henna Mehandi. After her return to the U.S.A. She quickly perfected a a recipe for organic henna paste and applied designs on herself and friends. Soon she had a following and then a nice henna business.
Natural henna colors are from a bright Orange to a deep Burgundy red and never never in black., there is no such thing as 'Black’ henna. Anything applied to your skin as 'black’ has chemicals ( PPD ) which can cause permanent scaring of the skin. Anita's goal in service to those who love Henna is first educate them about the history, use and safe application of a beautifultemporary Henna Mehandi design. |
Serves: Spokane, WA area. Will travel!
Speeds: 10-15 small designs/hour depending on the complexity of requests.
Rate: $150/hour with a 2 hour minimum.
