Darcy V - Henna Tattoo Artists

Born into an artistic family, Darcy began painting at the age of two. She first noticed henna in an old issue of National geographic, and, disappointed that techniques were not described, began her own experiments, many of which failed. Luckily, a Moroccan friend invited Darcy for a magic night of homemade plum tagine, honeyed sweets, cardamom scented coffee, and of course henna. Darcy went home late that night with an impressively henna’d foot, and a packet of fresh henna powder, and soon thereafter began hennaing any friends and relatives that would sit still. She has since developed her own techniques and “secret family recipe”.

After dabbling for years, Darcy finally turned her passion for the arts into her “day job”. Darcy specializes in traditional Indian bridal henna, but also loves hennaing for parties, baby showers, and destination weddings! When Darcy isn’t drawing on people, she can be found traveling, salsa dancing, hula hooping, eating spicy food, or sewing costumes for Burning Man.

Darcy has an impressive client list including Google, Levi’s, eBay, Beck’s Beer, Diageo, HotWire, Macy’s, Lancome, PayPal, Cisco, SF Jewish Community Center, Lulu Lemon, Yoga Tree, SF Gay and Lesbian Community Center, YMCA, Notre Dame de Namur University, eTrade, Kiehl's, as well as many local businesses, libraries, and festivals. She has also henna’d people all across the US, and in Mexico, Costa Rica, India and Europe! Additionally, Darcy, has been featured in Nirvana Woman Magazine, 7 x 7 Magazine, and interviewed by Voice of America and CBS News.
