As a full-time professional magician, Michael Chamberlin has
traveled up and down the East Coast for nearly 30 years offering
magical presentations specifically tailored to children and adults
. Michael has performed over 6000 shows including: corporate
trade shows for Xerox, McDonalds, and MCI; library shows for
counties in MD, VA, DE, & the city of Philadelphia; galas and
private parties in Washington, DC for Union Station, French &
Italian Embassies; First Night's Annapolis, Winchester, Leesburg
and hundreds of shows for children at schools, birthdays,
carnivals, and the Fairfax County Park Authority.

Michael began performing professionally at
age 12 and has continued to delight audiences
ever since. Along with being the magic consultant
and writer for the National Geographic book,
You Won't Believe Your Eyes — now a favorite
for young prestidigitators — Michael is also a
resident artist and performer for the Arts Council
of Fairfax County, VA (CAPS) and the National
Theatre Community Vaudeville Program.

A member of both the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society
of American Magicians, Michael is also an actor and director and has studied at the
Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory.

He is also a member of The Lincoln Center Directors
Lab and the Society of Stage Directors &
Choreographers. His stage directing credits include Bat
Boy: The Musical at The Studio Theatre 2ndStage (3
Helen Hayes Award nominations) and Washing
Machine at The Chocolate Factory in NYC. In 2005
Michael received a 'Best Director' Helen Hayes
nomination for his production of Porcelain at
Tsunami Theatre Company.

Magic Stage Show:

SEEING IS BELIEVING - Michael's newest program blends comedy, mystery, and outstanding visuals into a mesmerizing display of theatricality as he and his audience explore and expand some of magic’s oldest traditions and classic effects— featuring the very funny ‘Jake da Snake and his Magic Egg’ and the famous ‘Mutilated Parasol.’ The show provides fast-paced, original and spellbinding sorcery for all ages.

Birthday Party:

A festive and intimate 45-minute show featuring comedy magic, improvisation, and audience participation that climaxes with the birthday child baking a rainbow magic cake. Balloon sculpturing follows with the birthday child receiving a bouquet of balloon flowers (for a girl) or a giant octopus (for a boy). For older kids (9 and up) the format is similar but the repertoire of tricks and comedy routines are more sophisticated.

Strolling Magic:

Clever, mysterious, uncanny, and most importantly — entertaining, Michael’s close-up magic is ideal for any gathering involving adults, children, or family. Some of his most amazing close-up illusions include: chosen playing cards magically rise from the deck while being held by a spectator, a borrowed half dollar visibly penetrates a glass bottle, the famous multiplying rabbits dissolve and reappear in a spectators closed hand climaxing with the birth of a giant "momma" bunny and the startling finale where Michael’s arm twists 360 degrees! Michael's easy going charm and superb improvisational skills make every moment seem impromptu and effortless— and that means real MAGIC!

Serves: Baltimore, Maryland, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia, as well as surrounding areas. Will travel.

Birthday Show Rate: $365 for a one hour show.

Stage Show Rate: $450 and up depending on audience size and show requirements

Strolling rate: $200 for the first hour and $150 for each additional hour.
