The Magic of Myklar has long been a vehicle for opening eyes and challenging minds. Now through the program "Amazing Stuff", it becomes a conduit for revealing some of the true history of the black experience from a WORLD perspective. It may be the most informative black history program that your students will have participated in during their entire scholastic experience.

"Amazing Stuff"

Knowledge is power. And the knowledge of self is the ultimate power. If you have it, you can accomplish miracles. If you don't, you can only watch, while those who DO have it, perform miracles.

One of the greatest failings of Black people is the lack of self knowledge. Much of our history has been hidden, but much of it has just not been sought out by us. We have been not only inventors, musicians, scientists, and artists, but Kings Queens, statesmen, Shoguns of Japan, Popes of the Catholic Church, philosophers, founders of great civilizations and more.

"The Magic of Myklar" has long been a vehicle for opening eyes and challenging minds. Now, through the program "Amazing Stuff", it becomes a conduit for revealing some of the true history of the black experience from a world perspective. Audiences will learn the meaning of The Diaspora. They will travel to China, Russia, Egypt, more.

This program is probably the most informative black history program that your students will have participated in during their entire scholastic experience, maybe even during their collective scholastic experience. It is a program in which, over the course of 8 years of presentation, literally hundreds of faculty members have commented, "I had no idea!". Your students will learn more black history in 45 minutes than has been taught in schools in 45 years--literally!

The program uses magic to highlight and entertain while disseminating valuable information. Students learn the values of perseverance, planning, and strength of character. They are also taught a dramatic and valuable lesson in not judging people by outward appearance. To reinforce the performance as a learning activity, a study guide containing pre and post performance questions and activities is provided to the school.

The magic portion, which is integrated into the program. features a dove production and a levitation of an audience member. You will also see the magician put a lit candle through his arm.

"Amazing Stuff" is a labor of love, intended to bring a measure of understanding of the contributions of Blacks throughout world history. It is a program for All people, because, if we raise the consciousness of ONE, we raise the consciousness of ALL.
