Mauny Muray - Magician

Mauny M. Muray (stage name “Amazing Mauny”) has been performing as a close-up, stand-up, and stage magician for over 20 years. A past resident of Arlington, VA, he now lives in Ventura, CA. He is a resident magician member at the world’s famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. He has worked festivals, theaters, community centers, schools, libraries, corporate, and private functions around the US, and abroad. Combined with music, storytelling, and mime, his magic is sure to leave audiences with an unforgettable experience.

Mauny performs both classical and modern magical routines, using visible, and colorful props - including everyday items. Mixed with comedic situations, he integrates audience participation in order to maximize the impact of his plots. After a brief encounter with magic in his young teens, he was brought deeper into magic while living in New Orleans, LA. in the 80's and 90's. He was tutored by a few nationally acclaimed magicians, and has himself lectured, and taught others how to present magic in a professional fashion. Beside being a member of the Magic Castle, he is a member of the IBM, and the SAM.

Birthday Show(20 or fewer children): Mauny was trained to entertain children. He knows how to win their hearts! His birthday parties include 8 to 10 magic tricks that dazzle the children, and the adults. He uses volunteers to have the magic happen in their hands. He makes sure that the birthday child gets the most attention. It is a high energy, fast paced 40-45 minute show sure to be remembered long after he leaves. - $325 for a 40-45 minute show!

Stage Show: Please call for rates! Mauny presents musical openings whenever conditions allow it. The audience is treated to well choreographed segment where objects appear, disappear, change form and color. This is done with elegance, and grace. When the music stops, Mauny starts his talking segment of the program where he tells stories that the audience can relate to while doing magic with interesting objects. Some of his magical effects pack comedy, some use physical comedy, yet others stun and dazzle. Numerous tricks require assistants whom he selects from the audience. He will read someone's mind, bend reality, or make solid go through solid. One thing is for sure: the audience won't let their eyes off Mauny lest they miss something... - $465 for up to a 45 minute show!

Strolling: Please call for rates! Mauny is an expert in strolling magic. He has an arsenal of tricks he can do in his hands, and sometimes, in the spectators' hands. He uses cards, money, ropes, rings, paper, colorful silk handkerchiefs, and more. It is amazing how he brings so much action with items he carries in his pockets. The experience given to the audience is of awe, laughter, and smiles. The most important thing about Mauny's strolling magic is that he is able to put a smile on people's faces, making them feel much better about themselves, and others. This creates a friendly atmosphere where even those who might be shy, open up to others. - $280 for the first hour and $150 for each additional hour!

Serves: Ventura, Camarillo, Oxnard, Carpinteria, Santa Paula, are considered immediate area - no extra fees, or charges. Rates are slightly higher for the following: Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Filmore, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Santa Barbara. Extra fees apply for Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Monica, Long Beach, and beyond. Travel, and accommodations apply to anywhere else south of Los Angeles, CA; North of Santa Barbara, CA; and East of Santa Paula, CA. Will travel.
