Mark Mysterrio - Magic Comedian
Today Mark Mysterrio is a World Record Holder and magician with over fifteen years of experience in the field of magical entertainment. Like a lot of magicians, Mark got the “magic bug” quite early in life and fortunately for Mark, that is where his comparability with other magicians stops.
While attending high school in his hometown of East Stroudsburg Pennsylvania, Mark performed magic in local talent contests and at private parties on weekends and in the summer. It did not take long for Mark to see that there was “no business like show business.” After graduation from school Mark took his diploma and went on the road with the Rick Dennis “Dr. Blood” Circus Sideshow and completed his first season as the show's traveling magician: Mysterrio.
Mysterrio traveled but stayed close to home during his off time. Mark has used his unique skills to change the way everyone looks at magic and to use the magic for the benefit of others. In the year 2002, Mysterrio held a benefit for his friend Joseph Raven who was badly burned when a trick went wrong. Mysterrio went on to spend his time working for charity and raising them money through his gift of magic. Mysterrio decided that it was time to get back to his sideshow roots and so he laid on a bed of 6-inch gutter spikes for a period of 283 hours and 5 minutes. That is 11 and 1/2 days, almost two weeks and for that, Mysterrio broke the World’s Record. |
Mysterrio has been on stage with The Crest, The Earls , Award Winning Magician Rocco and several others. Who knows what Mysterrio will do next. Perhaps he will chase another record or do a few private parties or a huge trade show for a corporate giant. There is one thing Mysterrio is aware of and that is, there is truly no business like show business and there is no place that he would rather be even with his college education.
